My high school sweetheart

19 years ago today, I was a 17 year old silly girl in love with the fry cook at Carl's Jr.  We went on a date and he told me he loved me for the very first time EVER!  Exactly 4 years later to the day, we were married.  This picture was taken on that special May day 1998.  I was so excited to be his bride and see what the future had to hold for us.  We have 4 beautiful sons now and life is great!  Better than i even dreamed it could have been.  It's definitely been a memorable 19 years.  My 5 year old called it our "love birthday"  and requested I make a heart cake because of course, you can NOT have a birthday without a cake.  So I'm off to bake!  I can't wait to see what the next 19 years brings! Happy Anniversary E.J.!!!

How to throw a last minute spy party!

With just 2 weeks to plan and execute, we threw together this ultra cool spy party last weekend.  Get your 007 outfits ready and check out this awesome mission!  At the entrance, we had this sign so the guests would know to come on in.
These awesome bomb centerpieces were made using a cut up pool noodle wrapped in a plastic tablecloth and black duck tape, the stuffed at the top with a cut up sparkly centerpiece from the dollar store.  A small kitchen timer made for the perfect finishing touch as well as one of the cupcake toppers.  This centerpiece did double duty as the first game too! Hot potato!
T
At the recruit check point, all the kids had their picture taken and got to choose cool agent names like Sassy Pants and Bones!
Here's Agent Bones himself!
We printed the words "classified", "top secret" and "confidential" onto address labels and then used paper bags for the favors.  Each bag was filled with magnifying glasses, disguise glasses, notebooks, secret lipstick pens, and other spy related goodies!
Part of the spy training was this awesome "laser" field the kids had to go through.  It was made of yarn.
The funniest activity was the mug shot booth for the adults (and some silly kids!) This is my oldest. Haha!
There was also a scavenger hunt mission that was fun too! Pretty good for a quick party I think! Mission accomplished!!

A Superb Superhero Party

So I am waaaaay  behind at posting pics from this years special parties!  This one was this past January.  I love love love this theme!  My friend threw this party for her little guys 3rd birthday and I happily made the printable and provided moral support.  :) They made a hall of Justice and had superhero training.

Lisa gather boxes upon boxes to create her mini Gotham city!

Capes for all the little super guests!  4 months later and my little's are still wearing them all the time!
And her are my said littles!!  Batman and Superbaby!
And my Bigs who so graciously volunteered to be villains for the day.  Which meant every child there had a blast chasing them around.

 The cake area was spectacular!!!
I love how these cupcake toppers came out!  BAM!
Matty with his mask on.  I made this the night before.

I have all of these printables available at my shop Lil Party Animals   The version that is for sale does not include the hero logos as seen above due to copyrights.
